It was great to see all teams in attendance at the start of our new 2 divisions of 8 teams. We would like to welcome Double Pogba and Koke ran by Jordon Holdaway, 2 Girls 1 Schlupp ran by Alfie Safford, Madeline Milan ran by Josh Osbourne and Hammertime FC ran by Ben Hanley.
We would also like to congratulate Law Abiding Sigurdssons for being the first team to hit the crossbar in our crossbar challenge and earn a discount on their match fees!
Premier Division
Last season's runners up DCDC FC took on SMD and it was Sully that made the difference. Three goals for the DCDC captain alongside two from Clarkey saw DCDC run away with the points in a 5-0 win.
In a shock surprise in game week 1, KRBodge put Tekkerslovakia to bed in a resounding 5-1 win for Aiden Howard's side. Aiden bagging three for his team, with one goal each from Jordan Cobb and Kurt Hassell saw Matt's goal for Tekkerslovakia being nothing but a consolation.
A side struggling for players due to injuries and illness, Madeline Milan took on Dolce & Lallana with a few new recruits. George bagging two for Dolce & Lallana, with one each from Jack Tattersall and Alfie saw them win 4-1 against Madeline Milan with one goal from Josh Osbourne.
Although Law Abiding Sigurdssons hit the crossbar, they were brought crashing down to reality with a strong performance from Aston Villagers. Three goals for Kingsley, two for Aidan, one each from Arun and Logan saw them run riot in a 7-2 victory, with goals for Sigurdssons coming from Oliver Wilson and James Geary.
Division One
Grop United took on new side Double Pogba and Koke in what was a great watch for the neutral. Two goals for K Pearsall and one for Olly Woodward saw Double Pogba and Koke take the points and put themselves second in the table.
Our second fixture of the night was a tight affair between New Boys and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp. A goal for New Boys from Jake Powell was unfortunately not enough as two goals for Jamie Gilbert saw 2 Girls 1 Schlupp pick up the points in this fixture.
Inter Yournan took on the Kiddos in our third game of the night, two goals from Charlie White for the Kiddos was saw off by a spirited performance from Inter Yournan with a 7 goal bonanza.
Our last fixture of the night in Division One was between Hammertime FC and ATG No Idea FC. A very cagey fixture saw five goals fly in, with a wonder free kick from ATG No Idea in the last minute to take the spoils in a 3-2 win.
