It was great to see all teams in attendance for another round of exciting fixtures at our 6 a side St Neots venue at One Leisure. Congratulations to New Boys who hit the crossbar this week to earn their discounted match fees.
Premier Division
The Bodge took on SMD in our first fixture of the night in the Premier Division. With The Bodge keen to keep the pressure on DCDC, goals from Aiden Howard and Curtis Hassall had them on their way with a 2-0 win against SMD, who put up a great fight with only 5 players available.
Law Abiding Sigurdssons found themselves facing off against a tough test in Dolce & Lallana in game week 7. A six goal thriller was a great watch for the neutral, as Ben Wilson bagged alongside two from Evan Walker for Law Abiding Sigurdssons, however Dolce & Lallana were an equal match as they also bagged three.
The third fixture of the night in the Premier Division was Newer Boys against last season's champions Tekkerslovakia. Tekkerslovakia looking to get points on the board suffered heartbreak as they let a lead slip with their two goals coming from captain Zach Wilson and Oli Swinscoe. Jez Huggins and Raph found themselves on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw.
Our last game of the night in the Premier Division was Aston Villagers taking on league leaders DCDC FC. Having only conceded three goals all season, DCDC found themselves up against a challenge in Aston Villagers, who scored three through Peter Colebrook and two from Chris. DCDC were in capable form with captain Sully netting a hattrick with support from James Thomas and Jack with one each in a 5-3 win for DCDC.
Division One
The first game of the night in Division One had excitement written all over it with a top of the table clash between Double Pogba and Koke against 2 Girls 1 Schlupp. Harry Clark scoring for Double Pogba and Koke was not enough to see them through as Alix Girdlestone and Matt Sellick scored for 2 Girls 1 Schlupp to win it 2-1 taking them to the top of the table.
Grop United found themselves on the winners table this week as they dispatched ATG No Idea FC in a convincing 3-0 win, with goals from Rhys Sandford, George Ifandis and Ryan Paffett for their first win of the season.
Hammertime FC took on The Kiddos this week in what was a night to forget for Hammertime as they came up against a Kiddos side in form. Four goals for Jenson Stone and two for Charlie White saw them beat a Hammertime side 6-1 who could only muster a goal in reply from Alex Walton.
Our last fixture of the night was Inter Yournan against New Boys FC. Inter Yournan looking to keep up with the top 2 in the league managed to bag two through Josh, but New Boys put them to the sword with a goal each from Jake Powell and Darwin and a hattrick from Jez Huggins.
