It was great to see all teams in attendance this week at One Leisure St Neots for Leisure Leagues 6 a side league. We would like to welcome new side KRBodge to the Premier Division headed up by team captain Aiden Howard.
Premier Division
Our night kicked off in the Premier Division with Aston Villagers facing off against an inform DCDC FC side wanting to keep their lead at the top. A composed performance with goals from Nathan and Sam Brown saw DCDC take the points in a 2-0 victory.
Our second game of the night was Tekkerslovakia against Dolce & Lallana. A goal from captain Zach Wilson and one for Oli Swinscoe was enough to see off Dolce with one in reply from Ross Buddulph, with Tekkerslovakia keeper Brad keeping his side in it to secure the win for Tekkerslovakia 2-1.
A tight affair between SMD and new boys KRBodge was our last fixture of the night. A result that could have gone either way on the night was decided by a goal from SMD talisman Moomith Ullah to help SMD take the points in a 1-0 win.
Division One
Inter Yournan narrowly avoided becoming The Kiddos second victim of the season as a single goal from Alfie Drew was seen off by excellent goals from Miles and Josh Wischhusen to give Inter the win 2-1.
It was a night to forget for New Boys FC as they met a dominant force this season in Division One, Law Abiding Sigurdssons. A hattrick from Evan Walker and one each from Louis Thornton, James Geary and Oliver and Ben Wilson saw the Siggy train march on in a 7-0 win.
Grop United took on ATG No Idea FC in our last fixture of the night in Division One and it was too close to call for long periods of the game. A goal for Luke Dunnett and Alex Hockey was enough to see off Grop United who imposed their style of play with a good goal from Rhys Stamford, but ATG No Idea FC ran out 2-1 winners.
We will be expanding our leagues next season to TWO eight team divisions, so to reserve your place in the best 6 a side league in St Neots, sign up today to save £10!
