Another week of fine 6 a side football at St Neots One Leisure with all teams in attendance. Can all teams be reminded that abusive behaviour towards officials will not be tolerated. We are still looking for our first team to hit the crossbar for a discount to their match fees!
Premier Division
Tekkerslovakia kicked us off against KRBodge in our first fixture of the Premier Division. A very tight affair with the score being a tie until a few minutes to the end when Tekkerslovakia ran riot. Goals from Zach Wilson, Dan Ellis, Rueben Snooks and Tom Spavins helped Tekkerslovakia to the win keeping them at the top of the table.
Aston Villagers took on SMD in our second game of the night. A strong performance from the Villagers after having to forfeit their fixture last week saw two goals a piece from Ben Evans and Ashley Pridee with one goal in reply from Moomith Ullah which has seen SMD drop into the relegation zone.
Our last game of the night was between two stalwarts of the league, DCDC against Dolce & Lallana. A fixture that could be seen as a bit feisty was lacking cards this time, but full of goals as DCDC had their shooting boots on with a double hattrick from Matt Larkman and Nathan, alongside goals from James Summers, Jozef Leenderts and Ollie. Goals in reply from Ewan Smith, Jack Tattersall and Jack Carey was unfortunately not enough for Dolce & Lallana as DCDC ran out 9-3 winners.
Division One
Another blockbuster of a fixture in Division One which saw The Kiddos take on Law Abiding Sigurdssons. An unfortunate second loss of the season for Sigurdssons saw 6 goals for The Kiddos with four goals from Jenson Stone with one each from Jack Hall and Reece Chitty with goals in reply from Sigurdssons from Oliver Wilson, Ben Stokes, Evan Walker and two from Bradley William was not enough as The Kiddos win 6-5.
A tough game week 8 for ATG No Idea FC as they take on new league leaders Inter Yournan. With four goals from Jack Hall, one for Jordon Holdaway and Josh saw Inter Yournan walk away with both points in this fixture.
Our last fixture of the night was Grop United taking on New Boys FC. A tough game this week for Grop United saw New Boys take the spoils with goals from Tom Townsend and Evan Lincoln.
We will be expanding our leagues next season to TWO eight team divisions, so to reserve your place in the best 6 a side league in St Neots, sign up today to save £30!
