Some major fixtures this week in the title race with Leisure Leagues at One Leisure St Neots. It was disappointing to hear of a fine for violent conduct for Dolce & Lallana, can we remind all players that this behaviour will not be tolerated.
Premier Division
Our first fixture of the night was between DCDC FC and Dolce & Lallana, with DCDC looking to put pressure on Priory who sit top of the table before their fixture. Things did not go to plan for DCDC as two goals from Patrick Nowinski, an own goal and a goal (and a red) for Jack Tattersall cemented a strong Dolce performance. Two goals from Sully and one from Adam Henner could not stop a Dolce & Lallana 4-3 victory.
Priory kicked us off for the second fixture of the night against new side Cambridgeshire Hunter taking to the field for the second time after beating title contenders DCDC last week. A tight match but two goals from Bradley Brown made the difference, as Priory and Luke Fox could only muster one in reply, finishing 2-1 to Cambridgeshire Hunter.
Our last game of the night was between Aston Villagers and Law Abiding Sigurdssons with the latter needing points on the board to escape the relegation zone. Aston Villagers frontman Nelson Lourenco was on the scoresheet with one in reply from Henry Thornton, ending the game in a 1-1 draw.
Division One
Our first fixture of the night in division one at 8pm was between 1st and 2nd. Beer Bellies took on SMD in an important battle to slow down the SMD train as they top our division one table. In a change to normal scoresheets across our game week seven, this fixture finished 0-0 as both teams took a point each.
Inter Yournan took on a New Boys FC side who had managed to pick up a few new players for this game week. The class showed early on as Jake Powell scored a double hattrick alongside two goals from Michael Borinuolu, with one in reply for Inter Yournan by Kieran Preston in an 8-1 defeat.
Our last game of the night was The Kiddos who took on Tekkerslovakia. Tekkerslovakia championed by Steve Champion as he scored two alongside goals from Dan Ellis and Rueben Snooks. The Kiddos sourced a late substitute from Jake Powell (who also scored another) and a goal from James.
