WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 13TH MARCH

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Our Lady & St Chad Sport's Academy.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Wolverhampton Monday League.

Unfortunately, we did have one non-attendance as new team ‘Maggysipperz FC’ were not present for their fixture. The team have confirmed their return next week. It is paramount that all teams are present each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if you are having any problems please be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of time.

In more positive news, game of the evening in the Premier League saw a victory for 'FC Mil Funters' as they beat 'Striker FC' in a game which was very close and was a seven-goal thriller that everyone enjoyed playing or watching. 'FC Mil Funters' took the 4-3 win in the end and now be only three points off the top two with five games to go. ‘FC Mil Funters’ are on a good run at the moment and go into a game with second placed ‘Dangerous Darren’ full of confidence and knowing a win will close the gap to one.

Game of the evening in Division One was the game between 'Straight Outta Compton' and 'Wolves Nations FC'. Nothing could split two evenly matched teams and it finished 2-2 in the end. Five games to go and ’Straight Outta Compton’ are still looking for promotion as they are one point off the top two as ‘Wolves Natgions FC’ look to close the gap to the top.

Division Two game of the night was the game between ‘Take Notez FC’ and ‘Paralytic Athletic’. A closely fought game that could have gone either way but it was ‘Take Notez FC’ who came away with the 4-3 win in the end.

The team of the week are 'Take Notez FC' with the win above, as they gained a brilliant result against 'Paralytic Athletic'. They still hold out hope of promotion this season so let's see if they can go on a run and catch the teams above them.
