WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 14TH NOVEMBER

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Our Lady & St Chad Sport's Academy.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Wolverhampton Monday League with all teams in attendance and some fantastic games throughout. It was also brilliant to welcome new team 'Bostin Bliston', who although didn't get the result they wanted in the first game will be looking to build on this in the weeks to come. We wish them all the best in the league moving forward!

Unfortunately, we did have an incident in the last game of the night between 'Bosted Utd' and 'Barely Athletic' when a player from 'Bosted Utd' was sent from the field of play for a bad last man challenge on an opponent, he has been fined £10 because of this. It is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league.

In more positive news, game of the evening in the Premier League saw a victory for 'Bigos Amigos' as they beat 'Oldman Asthmatic' in a game which was very close and was a nine-goal thriller that everyone enjoyed playing or watching. 'Bigos Amigos' took the 5-4 win in the end and scored late to secure it, climbing back up to third in the process. With the top two playing each other next week they have a chance to close the gap when they take on 'Khalsa FC'. 

Game of the evening in Division One was the game mentioned above because barring the incident it was a fantastic game played in good spirits between 'Bosted Utd' and 'Barely Athletic'. The player being sent from the field of play cost 'Bosted Utd' in the end as it stopped them from getting a potential equaliser as 'Barely Athletic' continued their charge to the Premier League with a 2-1 win. Five games to go and two points clear of the rest can they keep it going to the end? Next up is new team 'Bostin Bliston'.

The team of the week are 'Bigos Amigos' with the win above, as they gained a brilliant result against 'Oldman Asthmatic'. They still hold out hope of winning the Premier League this season so let's see if they can go on a run and catch the teams above them.
