WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 25TH JULY 22

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Our Lady & St Chad Sport's Academy.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Wolverhampton Monday League with all teams in attendance and some fantastic games throughout. It was also brilliant to welcome new teams 'Straight Outta Compton', 'Lages Lads' and 'The Goonies', who all did very well in there first games. We wish them all the best with the NEW DIVISION that starts this Monday 1st August 2022!

Unfortunately we did have an incident in the last game of the night between 'Newhampton FC' and 'The Goonies' when Jude Dale of 'Newhampton FC' was sent from the field of play right at the end of the game for being abusive towards the referee. He has be fined £10 and banned from the league for the next two weeks because of this. It is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league.

In more positive news, game of the evening  saw a victory for 'Unathletic Madrid FC' as they beat 'FC Springhill' in a game which was very close and if it wasn't for a fantastic hattrick from Harry Bell the game could have ended a lot differently. This also secures 'Unathletic Madrid FC's' place at the top of the league for another week as we hit the halfway stage. Can they keep this up moving in the second half of the season and will 'Touch Of A Minor' be able to stop them?

The team of the week are 'FC Mil Funters' as they gained an brilliant result against 'Khalsa FC' which included two stunning hattricks from Mike Sudlow and Craig Talbot. Third place and five games to go they go into a game with 'Dangerous Darren' next week looking to go above them and chase down the top team in the league

We have a NEW DIVISION starting at the league on Monday 1st August 2022! Sign up today to get involved in the best league going in your area!
