WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 5TH SEPTEMBER

All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League direct from Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Sport's Academy.

It was a fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Wolverhampton on Monday which some entertaining matches played across the league to finish the campaign.

Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'The Goonies' were not present for their fixture. We will be in contact with the team to confirm there return for next weeks first game of the season. It is paramount all teams are present for there fixtures each and every week in order for the leagues to run as smoothly as possible, if you are having any problems and need any assistance then please contact your Area Manager at the earliest point possible.

We did also have an incident in the game between 'Newhampton FC' and 'Khalsa FC' when Bobby Dawes of 'Newhampton FC' was sent from the field of play for being abusive towards the referee. He has be fined £20 and banned from the league permanently as the behaviour shown was unacceptable when taking part in a leisure league. It is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league. Please note this is also twice in two weeks that this has happened please remember that we play in a Leisure League so please treat referees and opponents with the upmost respect at all times.

In more positive news, congratulations to 'Unathletic Madrid FC' and 'Lages Lads' who finished the season as winners of their division.  And well done to 'Mil Funters FC' and 'Oldman Asthmatic' who finished as Runners-Up.  There is also congratulations to Mike Sudlow of 'FC Mil Funters' who have walked away with the player of the season award. Chad Davies of 'Unathletic Madrid FC' and Jack Walters of 'Oldman Asthmatic' were each divisions top goal scorers for the season. The league winners will be contacted over the coming days in order to decide what they would like there reward to be for there hard work this season for there respective league. The above teams and players will have the opportunity to be entered into their respective weekly prize draw or receive trophies and medals at the league.

We will be in contact with all teams in the coming days to give them there first kick off times for the new season that starts Monday 12th September 2022.
