WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 6TH FEBRUARY
All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Our Lady & St Chad Sport's Academy.
A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Wolverhampton Monday League.
Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'Springhill FC@ were unfortunately unable to attend their fixture. They have already confirmed there return next week. It is paramount all teams are present each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if you are having any problems please contact your Area Manager in plenty of time in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible.
It was brilliant to welcome new teams 'Take Notez FC', and 'Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC', who both did very well in there first games. We wish them all the best with the NEW DIVISION that starts this Monday 13th February 2023!
Unfortunately we did have a number of incidents on the night and they all involved showing better respect to either their opponents, the referee, the centre or the neighbours in the nearby houses. Please remember that the league is a chance to get out the house every week and play some football with your friends and you are representing the league each and every week, anybody not respecting anything mentioned above will be removed from the league moving forward as they are not competing in the fair and respectful manner that the league runs for. It is also worth remembering that it is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league.
In more positive news, game of the evening in the Premier League saw a victory for 'Dangerous Darren' as they beat 'Striker FC' in a game which was very close and was decided by a single goal. 5-4 'Dangerous Darren' won by and with this result climb into the top two. Can they keep this up moving into week five of the season and will 'Bigos Amigos' be able to stop them?
Division One game of the night was between 'Saka Potatoes' and 'Straight Outta Compton'. The game was a lot closer than the score line suggested but it was 'Saka Potatoes' who were able to come away with the 5-1 win in the end to keep there unbeaten start to the season going. Next up they take on 'Bandits FC' and will be looking to continue there fine start to the season.
The team of the week are 'Dangerous Darren' as they gained a brilliant result as mentioned above. Second place going into round five and looking to close the gap at the top.
