A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Wolverhampton Monday League.
Unfortunately we did have one injury on the night as Tristan Dixon of ‘Barely Athletic’ went down during their game. The worst has been confirmed and he currently in a boot and on crutches and will be out of action for the foreseeable future after taking a knock on the ankle. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him down at the league again soon.
Another reminder to all teams following the games this week to use the toilets provided at the centre when using the facility and NO SMOKING on site at as it is a school, thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.
In more positive news, Premier League game of the week was between 'Dangerous Darren' and 'Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC'. In an end-to-end game it was 'Dangerous Darren's clinical finishing that won the day as they were able to run out 3-1 winners in the end. They go into their game with league leaders 'Filey’ next week full of confidence and looking to close the gap at the top.
Division One game of the week was a cracking clash and ended in a victory for 'Wolves Nations FC' against 'First Owner FC’ 2-1. The game was evenly balanced throughout but with two goals at the right time in the game 'Wolves Nations FC’' were able to come out on top. Up to 4th and looking to chase down the teams above them in the weeks to come, next up ‘Straight Outta Compton’.
Division Two game of the night was the game between ‘TT Elite’ and ‘Paralytic Athletic’. Seven goals and a lot of back and forth action but it was ‘TT Elite’ who were able to come away with the 4-3 win and keep their unbeaten start going. Two unbeaten teams left in the newest Division and they face off next week, who will be rope after next weeks games?
The team of the week is given to 'Bigos Amigos’ as they have gone fourth, one point off third in the Premier League this week after their sensational victory against '’Whykanteiwin' where the team showed top-class footballing ability to take the win 5-1. They face 'sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC’ next week, can they keep this good form going?
