WOLVERHAMPTON MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 9TH JANUARY
All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side League direct from Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Sport's Academy.
It was a fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Wolverhampton on Monday which some entertaining matches played across the league to finish the campaign and all teams in attendance as expected.
Unfortunately we did have an incident in the game between 'Whykanteiwin' and 'Wonders FC' when a player of 'Wonders FC' decided to throw a punch in the direction of an opposing player. Violent conduct to anyone at the league is unacceptable and he has be fined £20 and banned from the league permanently. It is paramount all teams and players remain in the rules of the league at all times, if not disciplines will be issued swiftly and accordingly in order to look after everyone at the league.
In more positive news, congratulations to 'Whykanteiwin' and 'Filey' who finished the season as winners of their division. And well done to 'FC Mil Funters' and 'Barely Athletic' who finished as Runners-Up. There is also congratulations to Brad Creswell of 'Whykanteiwin' and Jim Ward of 'Filey' who have walked away with the player of the season awards in their respective divisions. Ben Wilkins of 'FC Mil Funters' and Shaun Lane of 'Filey' were each divisions top goal scorers for the season. The league winners will be contacted over the coming days in order to decide what they would like there reward to be for there hard work this season for there respective league. The above teams and players will have the opportunity to be entered into their respective weekly prize draw or receive trophies and medals at the league.
We will be in contact with all teams in the coming days to give them there first kick off times for the new season that starts Monday 16th January 2023.
