Play in the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side football league powered by Leisure Leagues.
Wolverhampton Monday saw an exciting week of the 6 a side football league, with teams competing in four different divisions.
We did have one non-attendance as ECC United were not present for their fixture, as this was their second non-attendance and as per the terms of conditions the team will now be removed from the league. We know this opens a space but it is paramount we open this space for new more reliable teams rather than have teams that will not be showing up.
In more positive news, the Premier League division saw some intense matches, with Saka Potatoes beating Filey 2-1 and Bostin Bilston winning 5-1 against their rivals, Dangerous Darren. The game between FC Mil Funters and Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC resulted in a 1-1 draw, meaning all three games were competitive on the night.
In Division 1, Boca Seniors FC emerged victorious against Straight Outta Compton with a score of 4-2. The Division 2 matches saw Murder On Zidanes Floor triumph over The Way with a score of 3-1. Bushbury Hill FC won 1-0 against FC Springhill, and Inter Row Z secured an impressive win against KFC W1mbledon.
Team of the week this week were Boca Seniors FC, after missing the first few games of the season they have really started to settle in well. Another win this week means they are now very close to the top two positions. They take on top of the league Pendeford Unathletic FC next week, who will come out on top?
Overall, the matches of Wolverhampton Monday were intense and full of action, with each team putting up a tough fight. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what next week's matches will bring, with hopes for more thrilling moments on the field.
