Wolverhampton Monday Football League Kicks Off with Exciting Week 1 Matches
We did have 3 non-attendances at the league this week, Saka Potatoes and The way, have both confirmed their returns for next week, we look forward to having them back. Unfortunately, Wolves Nations have been removed from the league as we have not been able to contact them since Monday. We must stress it is of paramount importance that teams communicate if they are unable to fulfil a fixture, with 7 days notice in order to avoid paying for the fixture. Have a great week next week.
The highly anticipated Wolverhampton Monday Football League commenced last night with an electrifying display of skill, passion, and camaraderie. Football enthusiasts from across the city gathered to witness the action-packed games as the league's season got underway.
In the Premier League division, three riveting encounters unfolded, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC faced off against Dangerous Darren, resulting in a thrilling 3-2 victory for Sean Dyche's team. Filey, unfortunately, couldn't match the firepower of Boca Seniors FC, who secured a commanding win. In another exciting clash, Pendeford Unathletic FC triumphed over FC Mil Funters with a final score of 4-2.
In the Division 1 matches, the competition was fierce as teams battled it out for victory. Straight Outta Compton narrowly defeated Bushbury Hill FC with a 2-1 scoreline, while the team Inter Row Z demonstrated their dominance by securing a convincing win against KFC W1mbledon. FC Springhill, on the other hand, managed to beat Pendeford Athletic showing their attacking prowess from the first whistle.
Game of the week this week was between Sean Dyche Brexit Ball FC and Dangerous Darren who played out a 5 goal thriller, producing a brilliant footballing spectacle for fans.
