Wolverhampton Monday 6 a side news 2024-10-28

Play in the Wolverhampton Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

As the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side Football league kicked off its new season, football fans were treated to a thrilling spectacle of skill and competitive spirit. Two divisions, Premier League and Division 1, were in action, showcasing both seasoned veterans and fresh faces on the pitch.

Unfortunately there was an incident on the night as a card had to be issued to a team. There was an incident in the game of Thimphu City and Punjab United, where a player from Thimphu City got sent off, which the area manager has dealt with. This incident will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each time they happen as it is not the league we want to promote at the venue.

Unfortunately, we did have a non-attendance on the night, Any Holes A Goal FC were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for next Monday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.

We did also have one team give their 7 days notice for this week to cancel their game, We look forward to welcoming Gooners FC back on Monday. If you do have any dates for holidays please make sure you inform your area manager.

In more positive news, In the Premier League, Mekelakeya FC met with KFC W1mbledon in a gripping game that ended with a close score of 2-1 in favour of KFC W1mbledon. Meanwhile, AFC Young Boysz were unable to hold their ground against Interyaneto, who dominated the match with a 4-0 victory.

Moving onto Division 1, Powder Rangers made a strong statement with a 3-0 victory over Punjab United. The Statan Ibrahimovic vs Highfields Honours FC match was a nail-biter, ending in a 1-0 victory for Statan Ibrahimovic.

This week's matches set a high bar for the rest of the season. As teams regroup and refine their strategies, fans can look forward to more exhilarating matches in the coming weeks. If this opening week is any indication, the Wolverhampton Monday 6-a-side Football League is set for a thrilling season. Stay tuned for more fantastic football!
