Play in the Wolverhampton Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
Wolverhampton, UK - In the thrilling Week 3 of Wolverhampton's Monday Night 6-a-side Football League, both Premier League and Division 1 offered up some spectacular match-ups that had fans on the edge of their seats.
It's very disappointing to see that there were a number of issues on the night. First in the game between Makelakeya FC and Interyourneto there were a number of people that were sent from the field of play due to an altercation in the second half and which saw players from both teams receive £50 fines and permanent bans for violent conduct towards one another. We as a league never like to see these things and will deal with them swiftly and accordingly each and every team. Because of the people in question and the scene it caused, the league has had to remove both teams from the league moving forward as this cannot be tolerated in the leagues we run and isn't fair on the people that stay within the rules on a weekly basis. Whenever an incident like this happens it will also be dealt with swiftly and accordingly in order for the league to run to a high standard each and every week. Please can all teams remember that in order for a league like this to work you have to be conducting yourselves in a way that represents the league in the best positive light for prospective new teams to want to join it.
Secondly, we did also have one non-attendance on the night as Thimphu City were not present for there fixture. As this team has encountered a disciplinary problem and not shown up in 2 of the 4 weeks they have been in the league has had no choice to remove them from the league with immediate effect as the team cannot be trusted. A community league like this needs good commitment from teams week in and week out to thrive, if you are thinking of putting a team in please ensure you have a squad of players willing to play every week in order to join.
In more positive news, in the Premier League division, AFC Young Boysz and KFC W1mbledon clashed on the field, with KFC W1mbledon narrowly securing a win with a 2-1 victory. The ever-impressive Gooners FC demolished Paralympiacos with an astounding score line, proving once again that they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
Over in Division 1, the competition heated up as Powder Rangers locked horns with Paris Ganja Man in a tough contest that ended with Paris Ganja Man emerging victorious with a 1-0 win. Two Girls One Klopp FC engaged in a fiercely contested match against Punjab United, who managed to snatch the win with a 2-1 score line.
As we move into Week 4, the excitement and anticipation continue to build. With such high-quality performances and close competition, it's anyone's guess who will come out on top in the Wolverhampton Monday Night 6-a-side Football League.
We are delighted to announce that the flood lights at the venue have finally been fixed and you will hopefully see that this week. In regards to the issues above we will be contacting all team captains in order to reshuffle things slightly at the league and ensure we are giving the committed and well disciplined teams the best experience possible at the league each week.
