Wednesday night saw another set of excellent matches played at Shafton ALC.

League leaders Titans came from 3 – 0 down to beat fellow title contenders Man Like Stromzy 4 – 3. Goalkeeper Ian Evans was man of the match for the Titans as Craig Lunn bagged 3 and Mick Raynor 1 to give Titans the victory.

Defending champions Grimey were too strong for impressive newcomers Poggy. Grimey won 5 – 1 with Sam getting another man of the match for Grimey.

D.S pulled off the shock result of the night as they beat last year’s runners up Bayern Bru 4 – 0 with Gavin Bamford the man of the match for D.S.

Ardagh Unite will also fancy a title push this season as they beat Thurnscoe 4 – 1 with Tom the man of the match for Ardagh.

In the final fixture of the evening Colonel Getafe beat Complain FC 2 – 0 with Complain goalkeeper Warren Hurd the man of the match.
