Local 5-a-side football league, Oxford Wednesday, saw some intense matches during its sixth week, with both thrills and spills in the Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, Curve Crusaders clinched a narrow 2-1 victory over Loyal Men FC in a tight encounter. The highlight was the decisive goal scored right in the dying moments of the game, earning Curve Crusaders three crucial points.

Elsewhere in the division, Weeee Charvas FC put on a dominant display, taking down Firetoe FC with a comfortable 4-1 scoreline. The team’s forward shone throughout the match, bagging a hat-trick and claiming top scorer for the week in the Premier League.

The Misfits also stood out in their match against Substandard Liege winning 3-1, with their tenacious and coordinated play securing them a well-earned victory.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, BBFC and Eat My Goal FC went head to head in a goal-heavy thriller, the former edging out a 10-8 victory. BBFC’s striker was in superb form, netting five goals and taking the title of top scorer for the week in Division 1.

Owen Gilbert FC also had a spectacular game, overwhelming FC Copenbadly Reserves 8-2. Their all-round performance was commendable and sets them up nicely for the upcoming matches.

Sold My Car To Lucas Paqueta completed the Division 1 games with a convincing 5-2 win over Lads On Toure. Their midfield maestro was instrumental in the win, controlling the game and scoring a brace.
