In the thrilling climax to the Gloucester Sunday 6-a-side Football League, Sunday night marked the 18th and final week of the season. The games under the floodlights produced an evening of high drama and exceptional football, as teams from across the three divisions – the Premier league, Division 1 and Division 2 – battled it out for ultimate glory.
The Premier League saw BLMFC stamp their dominance on the season, with an impressive 29 points, and a tally of 14 wins under their belt. Their relentless attack and solid defense throughout the season have proven to be a winning combination, leaving their competitors trailing in their wake.
In Division 1, Leave My Arsealona emerged as the champions. They secured a total of 26 points and clinched 13 victories this season. Their consistent performances and an unyielding spirit have been their strength, and they were rightly rewarded with the division title.
The competition was fierce in Division 2. LR Gloucester emerged victorious, amassing a total of 32 points and an impressive 16 victories. Their precision play and teamwork paid off, leading them to the top of the table and earning them the division crown.
While every player performed their part, there were some standout performances throughout the season. Whitty Ultras and Fiddlesbrough provided a nail-biting contest in Division 1, with the latter emerging victorious in a narrow 1-0 win. In Division 2, the match between Law Abiding Sigurddson and Gloucester Angels ended with the former edging out a 3-1 victory. Newent Lions and Unathletico Madrid produced a high-scoring 4-4 draw to keep the spectators on the edge of their seats.
