New Newbury Monday 6 a side season kicks off!

In the wake of the new season's inaugural week of the Newbury Monday 6 a side Football League, spirited matches and skilled performances were aplenty as teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions took to the field.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League division we had some really tight games, Unathletico Madrid claimed a narrow victory over Class On Grass with a 3-1 scoreline. Champions Team Fun and F-town played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, while Philippines FC clinched a hard-fought 2-1 win against Goal Diggers. 

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 saw some equally competitive games. The Bootcamp managed to edge past Borussia Teeth with a 1-0 win, while Cuckarella dominated their game against Budget Boys, scoring an impressive eight goals to none. A highly contested match between Largentina and Ghs Giants ended in a 1-1 draw. Aidan Kriel of Cuckarella was the standout player in Division 1, netting a total of 3 goals, leading the goal-scoring charts of the division.

Amidst the flurry of goals and competition, the most valued player award for the week went to Zach Rodger from F-town. His outstanding display on the pitch and significant contribution to his team's performance truly set him apart in the league's opening week.

As the Newbury Monday league moves into its second week, we will be eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches. If the first week is anything to go by, this season is set to be one of the most exciting yet.
