Portchester Monday 6 a side end of the season!

In a thrilling conclusion to the Portchester Monday 6-a-side Football league season, Delph and Safety emerged as the triumphant winners of Division 1, capping off a spectacular string of performances.

DIVISION ONE

The final showdown of the 10-week season unfolded last night, providing us with a spectacle of footballing prowess to remember. Delph and Safety clinched the Division 1 title with an impressive tally of 18 points from 9 wins and only the one loss. Their final match saw them involved in a thrilling encounter with Paxton Sixes with the final score 5-3 in their favour.

Jamie McLaughlin was the heart of Delph and Safety’s success, dominating the scoreboard and earning the title of top scorer in Division 1 this week. McLaughlin stunned us all with a total of 4 goals, showcasing his exceptional skill and finishing ability.

But the night was not solely about the champions. Renal Madrid and Oldham Asthmatic provided a nail-biting duel, with Oldham Asthmatic edging out their rivals 2-1, demonstrating the competitive nature of Division 1.

Not to be outdone, Hawkins Heros put on a masterclass against the league runners up ST V2, finishing the game with a commanding 6-2 victory.

As the season draws to a close, we reflect on the thrilling moments that have defined this year's Portchester Monday 6-a-side Football league. The teams have displayed not just their talent, but their passion for the beautiful game.

Delph and Safety's victory in Division 1 is a testament to their skill, resilience and teamwork. Their success is well-deserved, and they have certainly set a high bar for the future seasons. 

Congratulations to the Golden Boot winner Oscar Crouchman of Delph and Safety who found the back of the net 19 times this season.
