The much-anticipated Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football league kicked off with a bang last night, making a thrilling start to the season with full attendance by all teams.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the team spirit and talent on the pitch were palpable. The Six Offenders started proceedings with a 3-1 victory over Bumfica, setting the tone for the rest of the day's games.
The most significant victory of the day was undoubtedly earned by Sergio Gameos Lee, who demonstrated exceptional gameplay to defeat Borussia Donmund 12-0. The stellar performance was led by their star player, Charlie Steele, who netted an impressive four goals, earning the title of the division's top scorer so far.
Not to be outdone, Project Zeus made their mark by defeating BSC Hung Boys 6-0, showcasing an incredible team performance. The game between Pants and Cob FC was also a nail-biter, with Cob FC ultimately emerging victorious with a 5-2 score.
The final match of the day saw Maradonakebab narrowly beat Expected Toulouse FC 4-3 in a thrilling, back-and-forth match that kept us on the edge of our seats till the final whistle.
The first week of Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football league has set the bar high for what promises to be a season filled with competitive, high-stakes football. With Charlie Steele leading as the top scorer in Division 1, we wait with bated breath to see how the season unfolds.
