The atmosphere was electric as week nine of the Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football League took place last night, with a series of gripping matches across all divisions: the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, AFC Purbrook demonstrated an outstanding performance, dominating Bumfica with an impressive 6-0 victory. This commanding win was fueled by a hat-trick from Ryan Campbell, who now stands as the top scorer in the Premier League division. Campbell's exceptional performance and goal-scoring prowess left the spectators in awe and his opponents in dismay.
DIVISION ONE
Meanwhile, in Division 1, exciting matches took place with Borussia Donmund besting BSC Hung Boys in a 6-3 showdown, and Cob Fc triumphing over Fourintina with a 5-2 win. The standout player in this division was Joe Nicklin of Cob Fc, who scored a total of three goals, earning him the top scorer title for Division 1. His impressive knack for finding the back of the net played a crucial role in his team's victory.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, the competition heated up with Brexit Ballers 2 defeating Gyattlatasary 4-2, Marlon Packet outperforming Khedira Pin Drop with a 5-1 result, and Maradonakebab narrowly defeating Pants 3-2. Notably, Max Palmer from Marlon Packet emerged as the top scorer in Division 2, netting an impressive four goals.
