In an exhilarating display of football prowess, the week 14 games of the Portchester Thursday Football League did not disappoint. The league, split into two divisions, saw some intense matches with players showcasing their exceptional skill and competitive spirit.
In Division 1, the matches were both gripping and high scoring. Sergio Gameos Lee emerged victorious against AFC Purbrook with a score of 3-1. However, it was the Skertals and Project Zeus clash that stole the limelight with an incredible 5-14 score in favour of Project Zeus. The Six Offenders couldn't hold off Pup657 who won the match 7-4, while Happy Sunflowers shutout Maradonakebab with a whopping 7-0. The final game of the division saw Lads On Toure dominate BSC Hung Boys, finishing the match 15-0.
Notably, Jack Gurling from Project Zeus had an exceptional night, putting an impressive 10 goals past the Skertals, securing his position as the top scorer in Division 1.
Over in Division 2, drama unfolded as Expected Toulouse FC narrowly edged past Havent Jota Clue with a 4-3 win. Yardee FC took command against Sunburn United, defeating them 7-3, while Bumfica and Cob Fc played out a tense 1-1 draw.
Oscar Shortman from Yardee FC stood out, netting three goals and earning the top scorer title for Division 2 this week.
