Week four of the Portchester Thursday night 6 a side league played out last night under the floodlights of Portchester Community College and we witnessed some engaging matches that kept everyone interested throughout.
In Division 1, AFC Purbrook displayed a commanding performance, defeating Haven't Jota Clue 3-1. However, the evening belonged to Happy Sunflowers who trounced 6 Man Step 5-1. The Sunflowers' attacking prowess was on full display, with Harry Ward netting an impressive five goals, making him the top scorer for the week in Division 1. The division's last match of the night was a nail-biter, with The Six Offenders narrowly losing to Project Zeus 5-6, making it one of the most exciting matches of the season thus far.
Over in Division 2, Borussia Donmund and Bumfica battled it out to a 4-4 draw in what was a topsy-turvy match. BSC Hung Boys registered a clean sheet against Cob Fc with a 2-0 victory. The tension was palpable in the match between Inter Ya Nan and Expected Toulouse FC that ended in a 2-2 draw. Maradonakebab emerged victorious, defeating Pants 5-2, with Oscar Deans scoring three goals and securing the top scorer spot in Division 2.
The events of the fourth week have set up an intriguing stage for the forthcoming battles in both divisions.
