In the thrilling fifth week of Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football League, our Portchester teams all turned up as usual and some excellent games took place.
In the Premier League division, Lads On Toure edged AFC Purbrook with a slim 3-2 victory, thanks to an exceptional performance by Jack Girling, who scored a total of two goals. Equally exciting was the match between Happy Sunflowers and Sergio Gameos Lee, where Lee emerged victorious with a 4-0 victory. Adding to the action, BSC Hung Boys were defeated by Skertals 4-0.
Turning to Division 1, Star & Garter FC put up a fierce fight but were bested by Cob Fc 3-2. In a high-scoring draw, Project Zeus and The Six Offenders ended their match with 5-5. Louie Jones from The Six Offenders stood out as the top scorer in this division, contributing two goals for his team. Wallington also had a good day on the pitch, defeating Lightfoot Fc 3-1.
Lastly, in Division 2, Pants secured a victory against Cross Keys FC with a score of 4-1. Netsix And Chill claimed a massive win over We Go Big FC, with an 8-2 score come the final whistle. George Smith's hat-trick a key factor in their win. Maradonakebab also had a convincing 5-1 win over Pup657.
The fifth week of the Portchester Thursday 6-a-side Football League was indeed a spectacle, displaying the fighting spirit, teamwork, and individual brilliance of the players. As the season progresses, the excitement continues to build, leaving officials and players eagerly waiting for the next round of matches.
