Portchester Thursday match day report

All 16 teams were in action at our Portchester Thursday night 6 a side league held at Portcheser Community School on their new 3G pitch. 

Sergio Gamoes Lee hit 9 past Happy Sunflowers as Bailey Steele and Jack Mitchell both struck 4 times on top of a goal from Sam to sink the Sunflowers 9-2. Second place Viking had a a hard fought 1-0 win over Haven't Got A Kalou who put in a solid performance against one of the title contenders. Stroke Titty stay third after being held to a 2-2 draw by HMS St Albans will Roach On Toast and Lads On Toure shared the same scoreline in their game.

Weight Watchers were the big movers in Div 1 as they put themselves above Jimmy Floyd with a 3-0 victory over them which drops Jimmy to third. Top of the table Wanyama's In Pyjamas put a point back on the board after defeat last time out with a 3-3 draw with Pants. Who8AllThePie might be 5th in the table but actually they are only one point of second with four teams all on 8 points. They impressed in their 7-2 victory against Foxes Forest. Finally the bottom two in the table met and it was Fenerbackache who picked up their first win of the season beating Chicken Tikkataka 3-1.

Thank you to all teams and our refs Benji, Dave and Con. On a disappointing note a player has received a ban for abuse towards a referee. Please can I remind all players this simply cannot be tolerated. We are always looking for feedback on how things can improve at the league but it makes it very difficult if it's gone about in the wrong way. It's extremely hard to get referee's so they need supporting. Please by all means give us constructive feedback which can be put across to referees at the league.
