So good to see our Thursday night 6 a side season going right to the wire at Portchester.
Sergio Gameos Lee are in pole position to lift the trophy in the Premier League but the door is still slightly open for MK Bongs following last nights results. Sergio failed to see off Sigurdsson's U14's as two goals from Charlie R ensured it was only a point for the league leaders, the game finishing 3 - 3. MK Bongs jumped on the chance to add pressure to next weeks fixtures with a 3 - 0 win over Stroke Titty, Reece netting all 3 goals for the 2nd placed side. HMS look likely to finish as the best of the rest and they put 9 past Wanyama's in Pajamas without reply to leave the Wanyama's doomed in their relegation fight, they will drop to Div One next season. Joining them could be Who8AllThePie who have to face the champions elect next week and who sit just a point above the drop zone. They went down 2 - 1 to Happy Sunflowers this week and will be hoping that Sigurdsson's U14's get nothing from their game with HMS St Albans in the final round of matches.
Whilst the Division One tilte is decided there is still much to play for for the teams below Lads on Toure who had a points win this week. Pants kept the pressure on the 2nd promotion spot with their 4 - 3 win over Foxes Forest FC, Steve Goodwin's hattrick for the Foxes cancelled out by one from Glen and a goal from James Hawkins. Weight Watchers had a points win and Chicken Tikkataka edged past Jimmy Floyd Bottle Bank 4 - 3 to wrap up events at Portchester Community School.
So it's the final round of matches for the season next Thursday and we expect a full turn out for what could be a great night of 6 a side. Thanks as always to David, Con and Al for supervising and reffing the games, lets finish this season strongly and kick start the new one the following week.
