TUESDAY 18TH JUNE READING 5 A SIDE LEAGUE NEWS

All the latest news for the Reading 5 a side Tuesday league direct from Prospect Park.

With the rain finally subsiding after what feels like a year of non stop bad weather It was a great night in the league with all teams in attendance as expected and playing some great football.

The England U21 team may have lost their opening game against France after taking the lead but our teams in Reading showed how it should be done.

In the Premier league Class of 09 were back and arguably back to their best beating Forest 7-2. Next up Rodellega bombs took on Mantra and needed a win to keep in touch with the top two. They eventually ran out 6-3 winners. In the final game in the Premier league it was top versus second as The A team took on AFC Specimens. It was a close game throughout but AFC Specimens ran out 6-3 winners to leap frog A team to top of the table.

In Division one we started off with a 3-3 draw between two evenly matched teams as Reject Athletic and Dead Ballers pushed to find a winner. Next up Pique Blinders took on league leaders Steveland Browns who hadnt dropped a point winning their previous 4 games on the bounce. Pique Blinders dug in and came away with a very good 6-6 draw making them the first team to take a point off them, how will Steveland browns react to this next week? In the final game of the evening it was another close game in Division one but Madeline Milan just had enough to edge out FC Been Groys running out 5-3 winners.
