EAST COWES SUNDAY 6 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 5
It was good to get down to East Cowes last night to see the new 3G pitch and get a new banner up. The new pitch, goal nets and set up looks so much better now with the new gate helping the refs get those wayward shots into the field too lol. We have a spot to fill in the league so if you'd like to get your team entered then we have space. Here's a look at all the scores from last night:
PREMIER LEAGUE
Zoe's Law continued their 100% start to the season with a good 7-1 win against Scouting For Goals to remain top of the Premier League, Luke Phillips and Zak Harris both hitting hat-tricks. 2X Grinding Champs are up into second spot as they picked up a 5-0 win with Pogba away this week. They play Hoosier Daddy's in a friendly. Mataz rose to third in the table with an impressive 8-2 win over The A J Way. The game of the night came between Sharks Out The Tank and Real Shide, Sharks were seemingly cruising to a comfortable win at halftime with a six goal lead but Real Shide came storming back in the second half only to fall just short with Shark's winning it 11-9.
DIVISION ONE
We have a change of leadership in Div 1 as leaders at the start of play We Lose Every Week were held to a 5-5 draw by CF Lechero, Sam Kirby on fire for Lechero with four goals. AC Me Rollin took advantage of the dropped point to go top with a 8-5 win over Badder Roma. In other games Nyash Wanderers impressed with a 8-1 victory against Muga while Ryde Rabbits won 7-4 against Le Saux Solid Crew. Finally two local rivals met in the derby match between Robbin Me Koch and Khedira Pin Drop. Before kick off there were rumours of guest players from the higher reaches of island football possibly being used but when all said and done they never materialised and the game finished in a 3-3 draw with the bragging rights shared until they meet again!
Big thank you to Rob for going down to cover Jukesy and to Dave and Chris for reffing. Thank you to all our players and captains especially. No football next week due to the bank holiday weekend so we are back in action on the 4th June. Cheers Rich
