East Cowes Sunday 6 a side news | END OF SEASON

In a thrilling conclusion to the East Cowes Sunday 6-a-side football league, Getafe Me Mason clinched the Division 1 title while Zoe's Law reigned supreme in Division 2.


DIVISION ONE
In a week filled with intense competition and breathtaking skill, everyone witnessed many impressive performances. Starting with Division 1, the star of the night was Ryan Phillips of Getafe Me Mason who put on a remarkable display, scoring five goals. His team, Getafe Me Mason, proved their dominance by winning their final game 12-1 against Khedira Pin Drop, and therefore winning the division with 36 points, boasting an impeccable record of 18 wins.


The most hotly contested game in Division 1 saw Nyash Wanderers edge out Twogirlsonefacup in a breathtaking 7-6 encounter. The Badder Roma and AC Me Rollin' match ended in an exciting 5-5 draw, a testament to the high level of competition throughout the season.


DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, Zoe's Law left no room for doubt, decimating DOUBLE POGBA AND KOKE 25-1 in a game that saw Lukey Phillips net the ball seven times, earning him the title of the division's top scorer. Zoe's Law emerged as clear winners, finishing the season with 10 points and 5 wins.


The highlight of the week, however, was the crowning of the season’s most valued player, Chris Elliott of Zoe's Law. Elliott's outstanding performances throughout the season have been instrumental in his team's success, making him a deserving recipient of this esteemed accolade.


With the final week of the season behind us, the East Cowes Sunday league has once again provided us with an exhilarating display of local football. Congratulations to all players and teams for a season filled with skill, determination, and sportsmanship. We eagerly anticipate the return of this electrifying competition next season.

Congratulations to Luke Warde for winning this seasons Player of the Season with a total of 8 MVP awards to his name. Also a huge congratulations to Brad Austin (41 goals) and Lukey Phillips (11 goals) for winning the Golden Boot in their respective leagues, a massive feat to get that many goals!

Thank you again to the referees for completing this last round of matches to end the season, we look forward to seeing them again in the next season for sure!
