East Cowes Sunday 6 a side news - match day 14
Last night marked the thrilling 14th week of the East Cowes Sunday 6 a side Football league, which saw teams in Division 1 and Division 2 battle it out on the pitch.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the energy was palpable as teams entertained us with some high scoring games. Muga V4 were soundly defeated by Khedira Pin Drop with a scoreline of 7-2. Nyash Wanderers and AC Me Rollin' served up a thrilling encounter, with the latter clinching a narrow victory with a final score of 8-7. We Lose Every Week narrowly defeated Twogirlsonefacup 4-3 in a closely contested match while Le Saux Solid Crew outscored Inter Yer Nan 10-6 in a game that kept us on our toes. Leaders Getafe Me Mason triumphed over Badder Roma 8-6 in an electrifying showdown.
Division 1 saw John Robjant of Getafe Me Mason emerge as the top scorer of the week with an impressive total of 7 goals. His exceptional performance made a significant contribution to his team's victory.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, the lone game was equally exciting, Cleft Right Goodnight fell to Zoe's Law 3-2 in a match characterized by intense competition. Lukey Phillips was the standout player in this division, netting 2 goals as his team clinched a narrow win.
This week's most valued player award went to Steven Deakin, who plays for AC Me Rollin'. Deakin's performance was crucial in his team's victory and his talent shone through, earning him this prestigious recognition.
This week's matches showcased some of the best talent in local 6 a side football, promising an exciting season ahead. With high-scoring games and exceptional individual performances, the East Cowes Sunday league continues to be a thrilling spectacle.
