The second week of the East Cowes Sunday League saw high-intensity football with some stunning performances across both the Premier League and Division 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Scouting For Goals secured a commanding 11-3 victory over ECS FC, thanks in large part to the hat-trick heroics of Brad Austin, who topped the division's scoring charts with his impressive triad of goals. McNeil Deal also made their mark with an 11-1 demolition of Badder Roma, setting the pace for the rest of the season.
However, the showstopper of the week undoubtedly came from Zoe's Law, who racked up an astonishing 37 goals against Southern Water FC, with a final scoreline of 37-4. Joe Butcher, from Zoe’s Law, was awarded the most valued player of the week. His immaculate play and teamwork were instrumental in his team's record-breaking victory.
DIVISION ONE
Turning to Division 1, there was no shortage of drama either. Zola Eclipse soared to an 11-4 win over Muga V4, with Rhys Brierley bagging a magnificent five goals to top the Division 1 scoring chart. Elsewhere, Kelly Smunt edged past Kick And Collect with a hard-fought 8-5 victory, while AC Me Rollin' managed to hold onto their lead against Khedira Pin Drop, finishing at 6-4.
The thrilling action from week 2 has set the stage for an exciting season of the East Cowes Sunday League. Fans and teams alike are eagerly looking forward to the next round of matches, as the battle for supremacy in both the Premier League and Division 1 continues to heat up.
