In a thrilling week of grassroots football, the East Cowes Sunday League saw its third week of fiercely competitive matches. Among the array of talent on show, the standout star was undoubtedly Craig Jelley of Badder Roma, who was named the week's most valued player.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Southern Water FC edged out AC Me Rollin' with a tightly contested 5-4 victory, with the spectators getting their money's worth. Scouting for Goals secured a 4-3 win over Zoe's Law in another nail-biting encounter. However, it was Popadom CFC and Murder On Zidanes Floor that truly set the division alight, with each team netting 8 goals in their respective games against Kelly Smunt and McNeil Deal. John Robjant of Scouting for Goals topped the Premier League's scoring chart this week with an impressive hat-trick.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the goal-fest continued. Muga V4 fell to a spectacular 11-3 defeat at the hands of Arrow FC, while Zola Eclipse recorded a solid 6-0 clean sheet over Klopps And Robbers. Badder Roma secured a high-scoring 8-5 win over Kick And Collect, with their star player, Craig Jelley, stealing the show. The highest scoring game of the division played out between Khedira Pin Drop and Holding Matip, ending in a 12-4 victory for Khedira Pin Drop. Isaac Harvey of Khedira Pin Drop led the goal charts with a massive six-goal haul, ensuring his name is one to watch in the coming weeks.
