East Cowes Sunday 6 a side round up!

EAST COWES SUNDAY 6 A SIDE ROUND UP

It was the last round of fixtures last night before the new pitch goes down at Queensgate Primary. Absolutely buzzing for a new 3G surface at East Cowes, no more playing on that old astroturf. There were some excellent fixtures in both divisions with new leaders in Div 1. Here's a round up:

PREMIER LEAGUE

Mataz produced a dogged display to push champions Zidane's close, but with Joe Butcher in their ranks and with 5 goals Zidane's sealed the win 8-6 to stay top. Disappointingly The Tap failed to appear for their game with Scouting For Goals despite paying for it, Scouting take the 5-0 win to go second. 2X Grinding Champs bounced back from last weeks loss to Zidane's to beat The A J Way 4-2 while Double Pogba And Koke return this week to win 4-3 at Real Shide.

DIVISION ONE

We have new leaders in Div 1 as We Lose Every Week rose to the summit after a 9-1 win at Ryde Rabbits, Kian Williams scoring 5 times in the process. AC Me Rollin are up to second as they won a thriller 5-4 against Robbin Me Koch. CF Lechero are also on the up as they defeated Muga 8-4 to move into third spot. Badder Roma put their poor start to the season behind them with a 9-2 victory at Nyash Wanderers, Darren Lewis hitting 4 goals. Finally another close game so Le Saux Solid Crew edge it 3-2 against Khedira Pin Drop.

Big thank you to Jukesy, Chris and Dave along with all our teams. We are now off until the pitch is laid, we are likely to be returning in the 14th May although if the weather is good they may get it done sooner.
