An excellent night of 6 a side was had at our East Cowes Sunday league with all teams turning out for match day 11.
Things are coming to the boil at the top of the Premier League as the top two went goal crazy in a bid to out score each other with goal difference key in the title run in. Zidane's stay top with a goal difference of 72 after a 15-0 win over third place Bacon Sane while No Shot FC are on 71 after beating Eskimo 21-3. The big challenge for their opponents is to keep the score down if you can't take the points. Applepie Turnovers are next up for No Shot while Zidane's take on Mataz. Both those teams won last night as Mataz defeated Bibs 10-0 while Applepie Turnovers won 6-2 against Hurricane.
The perfect season is still on for Hardly Athletic in Div 1 as they beat Bacuna Matata 10-3 with Lee Hardwick and George Johnson both scoring hat-tricks, the league's top scorer James Gallop grabbing a couple to make it 41 for the season, if he scores 50 they might even build a statue at the gates. FC Union Street aren't going away and remain on the tails of the leaders as they defeated Lads On Toure 3-0. OFOB Strollers edged a close one with We Lose Every Week 4-3 while AC Me Rollin won 4-2 against Vectis Rovers with Steven Deakin and James Knox each scoring a brace for the home team.
Brad Austin and Kyle Follows both scored a couple each as they helped Div 2 leaders Gylfi Pleasures seal a comfortable 7-1 victory against second place Muga. Neville Wears Prada moved level on points with Muga as they scored the only goal of the game to beat Touch Matip 1-0. The other two matches were also low scoring games as The Gym won 1-0 against Khedira Pin Drop while Badder Roma and Sancho's And Cheese drew 1-1.
Thank you to Jukesy, Chris and Dave for reffing the evening and to all our teams. Just 3 weeks to go this season. Good luck everyone. Cheers Rich
