Happy New Year to all our East Cowes Sunday 6 a side teams. The league was back last night at Queensgate Primary with all teams in attendance apart from OMO and Info Dynamo's who couldn't raise sides this week.
Murder On Zidane's Floor are top of the Premier League on goal difference as they ended Hardly Athletics' long unbeaten run with a 8-1 victory over them. Bacon Sane are level on points with the leaders as they won a thriller with Mataz 5-4 while Applepie Turnovers picked up a points match win with a game against AC Me Rollin from Div 1.
Last season's Div 2 top scorer Brad Austin hit a hat-trick as Gylfi Pleasures continued their impressive start to the season with a 6-2 win against We Lose Every Week. FC Union Street also made it 3 wins from 3 as they won a game which had 15 goals 10-5 against OFOB Strollers. Vectis Rovers and Muga shared a 1-1 draw while AC Me Rollin picked up a points match win with Info Dynamo's away.
A man of the match performance by Tom Allen saw Neville Wears Prada defeat Sancho's And Cheese 9-3 to keep their 100% record in tact. Allen scored a brace while Kyle Follows banged a hat-trick and Harry Scott went one better with 4 goals for the league leaders. Khedira Pin Drop got their first point of the season on the board as they held Bacuna Matata to a 3-3 draw. Badder Roma are up to third as they drew 1-1 with The Gym while another tight match saw Touch Matip edge it 1-0 against Lads On Toure.
Thank you to all our teams and our refs. See you all next week for match day 4. We have space for new teams to join now and get started so if you want to get playing sign up now and get started, Cheers Rich 07969 731086.
