One minute it was dry then there was a sudden downpour but we got through match day 9's fixtures at our East Cowes Sunday 6 a side league. We had 3 teams away yesterday on Halloween, out trick or treating I believe.
The top two in the Premier League both fired in 12 goals each as No Shot FC stay top on goal difference as they defeated Mataz 12-4 while Murder On Zidane's Floor won 12-1 against Eskimo FC, to be fair to Eskimo, Ryan Donald in the Zidane's goal was in inspired form between the sticks otherwise Eskimo might of got a couple more. Third place Bacon Sane and also Applepie Turnovers picked up points match wins with Bibs and Hurricane away.
Hardly Athletic survived a scare in Div 1 as they came from behind to beat bottom side Lads On Toure 6-4 with James Gallop in red hot form again with 5 strikes. FC Union Street rose back into the top two as they beat We Lose Every Week 5-3, the win put them back above OFOB Strollers who went down 4-2 to Vectis Rovers. AC Me Rollin boosted their survival chances as they won 9-2 against Bacuna Matata who remain in the bottom two.
Div 2 leaders Gylifi Pleasures got back to winning ways last night as they won 17-2 against a understrength Sancho's And Cheese. Harry Scott, Nathan Martin and Brad Austin all banging in 4 goals each. Neville Wears Prada were away this week which gave Muga the chance to climb into the top two which they took, beating new team The Gym 11-2. 5 goals from Lee Brennan while Ash Groundsell also hit a hat-trick for Muga. Luke Warde and Stephen Mccarthy both bagged braces as Touch Matip won 5-0 against Khedira Pin Drop while Badder Roma had a points match win with Prada away.
Thank you to Jukesy, Dave and Chris for reffing the night and to all our teams down at Queensgate. See you all next week for match day 10. Thanks Rich
