All expected teams were in attendance for the start of our East Cowes Sunday 6 a side league last night. It was a night of big wins, with only one Prem side from last season there the score lines were somewhat surprising. It would seem that a few teams have strengthened their squads for the new season.
Straight into top spot are last season's Div 1 champions AC Me Rollin who defeated We Lose Every Week 21-0, Steven Deakin with 11 strikes, not a bad start in the golden boot race. Muga also had an impressive win, beating Not Too Xavi 18-2, the goals more evenly spread out in what was a strong Muga side. The Gym were on form last night as they went on to win 11-2 against Khedira while Mataz were made to work in their game but eventually went on to win 8-2 against Sancho's And Cheese. Finally Touch Matip began their season with a 5-0 home win against Badder Roma to round things off.
Thank you to all our refs, captains and players. Good luck next week on match day 2. Thanks Rich
