In an exhilarating kick-off to the season, Ringwood Monday 6-a-side Football League saw some impressive performances in the Premier League division this week.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Ajax Trees Down started the season with a bang by outclassing new boys Tribos Kids with a 4-0 victory. With their solid defence and well-choreographed attack, Ajax Trees Down set a high standard for the league's inaugural week.
In another match, Anyone Seen Gary defeated StillGotIt FC with a dominant 5-0 display. The win has surely boosted the morale of Anyone Seen Gary, setting an intimidating precedent for the teams yet to face them this season.
An exciting encounter was witnessed between Elm Tree and Middle Age Crisis Club, where Elm Tree emerged as the clear winner with a 13-2 scoreline. Elm Tree’s dominance in this game was largely due to the sterling performances as three of their players kit hat-tricks.
In the final match of the week, reigning champions Gangs Of Dwight Yorke edged past Metropolis Of Ringwood with a 4-2 victory. Despite a good fight put up by Metropolis Of Ringwood, Gangs Of Dwight Yorke managed to clinch the game, capping off an exciting opening week of the season.
The first week's matches have set an electrifying pace for the season, with teams displaying their skills with fervour. As we move forward, it will be intriguing to see how the teams fare and how the dynamics of the Premier League division unfold.
