Ryde 6 a side Thursday nights are back!

We have waited 5 long months for the final round of fixtures to be completed at our Ryde Thursday night 6 a side league with the new season kicking off next week.

It was good to see 9 out of the 10 sides attending last night with 7 time Champions Geeza's returning next week for the start of the new season. Congratulations goes to them on a 7th Ryde Thursday 6 a side title. We also welcomed new side Raul Moat-drid to the league as they managed to get a game under their belts before the start of the new season. 

The individual accolades this season go to Robert Jackson as the league's top goal scorer for Roverners with 13 goals and Joe Love as the player of the season with 5 MVP awards for Geeza's Return. 

Thank you to all teams for using the hand sanitiser provided and maintaining social distancing off the pitch where possible. Also for getting into the habit of not shaking hands and paying online. These are strange times but we have to do what we can so the leagues can keep running.

The new season starts next week, fixtures will be out on Monday/Tuesday. We are just holding off to see if we get a couple of new teams enter.
