Great to see our Ryde Thursday 6 a side league full again last night with Scouting For Goals joining back up.
All four games in the Premier League were so close with some great goals flying in from all 8 teams. It looks like the title race is almost done and dusted with Hurrell's Return moving 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League after a 3-2 victory over Butlins Bandits who drop to 5th. Second place Goldies couldn't maintain the gap between them and Hurrell's as they lost ground with a defeat to Salt & Pepe. Roverners climb into second spot level on points with both Goldies and Salt & Pepe but ahead on goal difference. They won an exciting match with Scouting For Goals 5-4. The goals for Roverners coming from Robert Jackson 2, Jamie Meakin 2 and Terry Crow. A Billy Chugg hat-trick wasn't enough as Cool Runnings went down 6-4 to Getting On A Bit in the battle of the bottom two. Two very good sides who are both still in with a good chance of avoiding the drop.
Sat Fesh FC remain unbeaten in Div 1 as they cruised to a 16-1 victory over Raul Moat-drid to stay 4 points clear of Class On Ash. Every player bar the keeper managing to get in on the goal fest for Sat Fesh. James Gallop scored a brace for Class On Ash as they took the points against Vectis Rovers 4-2. Olly West and Eoghan Toogood also amongst the goals for Ash. Chamakh My Pitch Up donning their new yellow kit had a end to end encounter with Second Half FC before going down 7-5 in a match that could of gone either way. Finally Murder On Zidanes Floor couldn't build on last weeks impressive 2-2 draw with Sat Fesh as they lost 5-1 to East Ryde Massive who remain a point outside the promotion places.
Thank you to all our teams and to our refs Jukesy, Chris and Reece. See you all next week for match day 11.
