In the highly competitive Ryde Thursday 6-A-Side Football league, Week 5 brought exhilarating play from both the Premier League division and Division 1. The high-paced matches offered thrilling moments and goals aplenty as teams battled it out on the pitch.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Crown FC delivered an impressive performance against Ryde Rovers FC, cruising to a 10-3 victory. Despite the loss, Ryde Rovers FC continued to exhibit their fighting spirit. In another electrifying match, Roverners triumphed over Vectis Rovers with a decisive 9-3 score. The standout player in this division was Robert Jackson from Roverners who netted a hat-trick, securing his place as the top scorer in the Premier League this week.
DIVISION
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the matches were equally exciting. Khedira Pin Drop III and Manchester Obe City ended in a 4-4 draw in a nail-biting encounter. Double Pogba And Koke clashed with Wonkers in a high scoring game that ended 7-5 in favour of Wonkers. The match between Chamakh My Pitch Up and Hardly Athletic, ending in a 12-4 victory for Hardly Athletic. We also had an additional match last night as Chamakh took on Double Pogba in the game that was missed last week, the final score 8-5 to Pogba.
Division 1's top scorer was Kyle Follows from Hardly Athletic, who had an excellent match scoring three goals. His teammate Josh King was named the most valued player of the week, showcasing his formidable skills and contributing significantly to his team's success.
This week's matches have once again proven that the Ryde Thursday 6-A-Side Football league is a thrilling spectacle of local football talent. We are eagerly waiting to see what Week 6 will bring and which teams will rise to the occasion. Will the current top scorers maintain their form? Only time will tell.
