Ryde Thursday 6 a side news | WEEK 1

In the wake of the commencement of the Premier League's latest season, a series of high-intensity matches have left fans and critics alike, thrilled and filled with anticipation for the weeks to come. The 6 a side Ryde Thursday Football league has kicked off its much-anticipated season last night with a batch of electrifying games bringing forth some unexpected triumphs and shocking upsets.

The week 1 matches saw some notable performances from team Vectis Rovers and Chamakh My Pitch Up, producing a high scoring game that ended 6 - 15 in favor of Chamakh. Despite the best efforts of Vectis Rovers, the team could not withstand the relentless attack of their opponents.

In a surprising turn of events, Ivory Toast managed to decimate HIGH PARK FC in a landslide victory of 10 - 1, marking their dominance early on in the season. The star of the match was none other than Sam Cant, who proved instrumental in this triumph with a staggering total of 6 goals, earning him the top scorer spot for the week in the Premier League division.

Another noteworthy match was between Roverners and Crown FC which finished 4 - 7. Crown FC’s victory can be largely attributed to the exceptional performance of Patrick O’Meara, who not only led his team to victory but also earned the title of the most valued player of the week.

However, the upset of the week was certainly the match between Wonkers and AFC Gillette The Best A Man Can Get, which ended in a resounding 8 - 2 victory for Wonkers.

As the season has just begun, it will be intriguing to see how the dynamics and rankings within the Premier League shift in the weeks to come. It's too early to name favorites, but one thing is certain - the fans can expect an exciting and action-packed season.

Thank you to the referees for kicking off the new season in style!
