In an electrifying ninth week of the Ryde Thursday 6 a side football league, the Premier League and Division 1 teams battled it out with the end of the season in sight. With only two weeks left, each match was more crucial than ever, with players already securing their places for the next season.
In the Premier League Division, Ivory Toast emerged victorious against Scouting For Goals with a scoreline of 11-5. Margys Betas also came out on top, outplaying Double Pogba and Koke with a resounding 10-5 win. Roverners barely edged out Diabetico Madrid, clinching a 4-3 win, while Crown FC secured an 8-5 win over Vectis Rovers. The match between Youth Offending Team and Cereal Wimmers FC ended 8-4 in favor of the latter.
Joshua Woodnutt of Roverners deserves a special mention. He led the goal tally in the Premier League Division with an impressive total of three goals.
The most valued player for the week was Conor Venn from Crown FC. He exhibited remarkable skills on the field, demonstrating why he is considered one of the most essential players to his team.
With the current season rapidly approaching its conclusion, players and fans alike are eagerly anticipating the remaining two weeks. The dedication and sportsmanship displayed by the teams promise an exciting end to the season and an even more thrilling start to the next one.
Many thanks to the referees, who I'm sure are enjoying the lighter and warmer nights now they are here!
