In Isle of Wight Leisure Leagues news, the Ryde Thursday 6-a-side Football League continued into week 4 with several passion filled matches that kept the Premier League division in a state of sheer excitement.
The 7pm kick off between Chamakh My Pitch Up and Cereal Wimmers FC displayed a high level of skill and strategy, with Cereal Wimmers FC decisively defeating their opponents 8 - 3. James Gallop returning to the set up with 4 goals to keep his side in contention at the top of the table. The thrill of victory was also felt by Crown FC, who delivered an impressive performance resulting in an 8 - 1 triumph over Khedira Pin Drop III. Goals from Brad Austin and Jarred Fisher providing the backbone for an important win for the league leaders.
However, the highlight of the night was the high-scoring encounter between Vectis Rovers and Youth Offending Team. Youth Offending Team emerged victorious, securing their 1st win since joining the league, clinching the match 10 - 5, moving them out of the bottom two.
The Roverners and Puyol Pants Down delivered an equally contested match that ended in a brilliant deadlock at 4 - 4. The intense rivalry between the two teams was evident throughout the game, leaving both sides on 5 points as week 4 concludes.
