Last night marked the seventh week of the exhilarating Ryde Thursday 6-a-side football league. Two divisions, the Premier League and Division 1, faced off with players making their mark in an action-packed evening.
In the Premier League, we saw a thrilling match between Hardly Athletic and Ivory Toast. The Toast dominated the scoring but Hardly put up good resistance despite picking up some injuries in the game which ended 6-1.
Moving on to Division 1, Chamakh My Pitch Up put on a show against new side Double Pogba and Koke who filled in for Ryde Rovers FC, Chamakh picked up a 5-0 victory. The standout player of the match was Chamakh captain Adam Jupe who notched an impressive hat trick. His performance earned him the title of the most valued player of the week, a deserved accolade considering his remarkable impact on the game.
Meanwhile, in other Division 1 clashes, Vectis Rovers scraped a 1-0 win against Manchester Obe City, while Wonkers outclassed Khedira Pin Drop III in a high-scoring 7-2 victory.
As we move into the business end of the of the Ryde Thursday league season, it's clear that the competition is heating up.
