A cold and wet night at our Ryde 6 a side Thursday night league as we entered the second round of games this season.
New leaders on goal difference are Salt & Pepe who produced an excellent display of silky football to woo the crowds as they defeated Butlins Bandits 15-1. Bandits starting life in the league with two hard opening fixtures will be hoping to secure some points in week 3, although Roverners will have something to say about that. Geezas Return were also in the goals last night despite a lacklustre first half against Class On Ash. With the scores tied at 2-2 Class On Ash sensed an upset on the cards however Geezas had other ideas and turned on the style in the second half to win 13-3. Also with another win this week are Vectis Rovers who saw off Wight United 7-3 while Getting On A Bit made it two wins from two with victory by 6 goals to 2 against Blue Ball. Finally with their captain returning to the fold to sort them out this week Chamakh My Pitch Up got back to winning ways with a 6-2 victory over Roverners.
Thank you to all teams and see you next week!
