Wow - Do we have a title decider lined up for next week or what. The Thursday Night 6 a side league title will be decided next Thursday at Ryde Academy with our top two meeting in the perfect finale to what has been an amazing campaign for both sides. Guns n Moses remain top despite going down in an incredible game with Ryde Galacticos which ended 9 - 8. Asa Gough took another step towards the golden boot with an impressive hattrick but the defeat has left the door open for Sat Fesh to grab the title from them next Thursday. Sat Fesh did what they needed to do by taking the points from their game with Royal Mail-Drid winning 9 - 3 thanks to 5 more from the boots of Paddy O'Meara and the title race couldnt be more perfectly set up. A win or a draw for Guns n Moses and the trophy is theirs but if Sat Fesh can get the better of them they will be crowned champions. Epic stuff and one not to be missed next week. Elsewhere in the top flight Goldies continued their fine season with a 13 - 3 win over Chamakh with James Conner tapping in 6 and Jamie Dyer adding 4 for their side who will finish 3rd as long as the get a point next week against Royal Mail-Drid.
Roverners have confirmed the Division One title with a game to spare as their 12 - 4 win against Milfclarters means they can't be caught now and will definitely be crowned as deserved Champions. Congratulations to them, a well fought season and a comfortable margin of victory in the end. Khedira Pin Drop look like securing the 2nd promotion place and will be excited at the prospect of testing themselves in the prem next season. Their 3 - 1 win against Butlins Bandits came with goals from Owen Connolly, Brad Austin and Oliver Norris to end Butlins hopes of promotion this time around. Unathletico continue to climb the table and look a strong side in this division. They dismantled Vectis Rovers 19 - 0 this week having done a job on Khedira last week so we will have to look at where we fit them in for the new season. Finley Lloyd outscored his team mates with 6 this week for the team that has certainly made their mark since joining 3 weeks ago.
Spaces for the new 16 team season that starts on 10th November are going fast and we are nearly at capacity for that so if you are considering bringing your team to the league it would be good to get registered pretty soon or if it's a returning team just get in touch and we will be able to discuss your return.
Big thanks to Nick and Josh our refs this week who both did an excellent job and it was nice to have positive feedback from the players about the standard of officiating at Ryde. Always good to have their efforts appreciated in what is an incredibly difficult job.
Have a great week everyone, so excited for next Thursday, lets end this season on a high and get ready for the new campaign the following week.
