A fantastic night of 6 a side football once again at our Ryde Thursday night league with all 10 teams there for week 3 of the season.
It is still early days but Salt & Pepe will look to challenge Geezas this season as they continue at the top on goal difference after a 9-2 win against Wight United. Geeza's are second as they came through a tough match with Getting On A Bit, it was touch and go for a long time in this match with Getting On A Bit matching Geezas early doors however the champions showed what they are made of in the second half to win 4-0. Chamakh are starting to find their form as they came from behind to beat Class On Ash 7-1. However rumours of a new signing from abroad are circling which should give Class a boost going into next weeks meeting with Butlins Bandits. Bandits who are getting to grips with the league showed plenty of promise last night, they went down 8-2 to Roverners but the man between the sticks for Roverners had a fine game keeping the Bandits at bay. Finally Blue Ball got their first win of the season defeating Vectis Rovers 5-2 to lift themselves up to 8th and put a early dent in Vectis Rovers title ambitions this season.
Thank you again to all teams and see you next week
